Newborn

What age should my baby be?

A newborn photography session in my experience, in order to get the best results, is for babies up to 16 days old on the date of the photo shoot.  Post this point babies become a little more alert, are less sleepy and lose that new “curled up” feel, making it a little harder to pose them. However don’t worry if your baby is older I have posed many a baby post this point successfully.

Please get in touch and we can arrange a date and time to suit.

When should I book?

The best time to book is during pregnancy, usually after your 20 week scan, as my  slots fill quickly. I take provisional date bookings which you can find a link in the “Collections” tab above. I recommend booking  for one week post your due date, however an exact shoot day is set once your little  one arrives. I only open a limited amount of sessions per month as I like to ensure all my clients have an excellent experience from start to finish.

If I have availability I do take late bookings too, so if your baby is under a month old and you haven’t pre-booked please pop me a message and we’ll try and schedule for you.

What happens during my newborn session? what should I expect?

A newborn photography session usually lasts between 2-4 hours. the sessions are always very relaxed and enjoyable for all. We of course factor in time for feeding, nappy changes, and plenty of  cuddles.

A newborn session is always me working around you and your new little bundle of Joy and there is a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and biscuits to keep everyone happy.

Do I need to bring anything with me?

You don’t need to bring anything along as all outfits and props are provided. However if  you have something in particular you want including in the shoot please bring it along and I will of course incorporate it into your session.
